Tips for Buying a Used Car Under $10,000

Shopping in this price range rewards buyers who do their homework. A few things to keep in mind when browsing our under-$10,000 inventory:

✔ Focus on reliability history. Brands like Toyota, Honda, Subaru, and Nissan tend to deliver strong long-term dependability even at higher mileage levels.

✔ Consider total cost of ownership. A slightly higher-priced vehicle with lower mileage and a cleaner service history may cost less over time than the cheapest option on the lot.

✔ Factor in your trade-in. Even a vehicle worth a few hundred or a few thousand dollars in trade can meaningfully reduce what you spend out of pocket.

✔ Ask about financing. Even in this price range, spreading the cost over manageable monthly payments can make sense depending on your situation.
