The automotive industry is always changing and getting better, but Ford just took one massive step forward! They have built a prototype Ford F-150 that is all-electric and is able to tow over 1,000,000 pounds!
There’s nothing new or special about a truck being released and using a towing display to build attention, but this stunt was unlike one that has ever been seen! It topped the Toyota Tundra towing a Space Shuttle, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S towing an Airbus A380, and even the Tesla Model X P100D towing a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner!
This new and unreleased EV Ford F-150 demonstrated true towing grit by towing an amazing 10 Double Decker Cargo train cars packed full of 42 Ford F-150 trucks! It was going to attempt to tow this a distance of 1,000 feet or 42 head-to-head Ford F-150 trucks!
Amazingly, it was able to complete this monumental task! Now the keyword here is stunt as this was just showing the power and torque of an EV! The video shows that it is capable of doing it, but the production truck will not be rated anywhere near this much!
Check out this video released by Ford showing the amazing stunt being preformed! It is truly a great display of the power and capability the future holds!
