Roomy, innovative, stylish, edgy and inexpensive are the keywords that describe this 5-Door creation from Dodge. With tech-conscious features such as a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), i-pod holder in the dash, and in later models hard drive based entertainment and navigation available as options, the Caliber has helped a new generation of buyers discover that the long, graceful lines of a 5-Door wagon are actually pretty cool!

Adding sleek and powerful to the long list of superlatives to the Caliber resume was a high-performance Caliber SRT-4 produced for 2008 and '09. It boasted a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder good for 285 hp and 265 pound-feet of torque, with a six-speed manual being the only available transmission. Aside from its big engine, it got 19-inch wheels, lowered suspension, upgraded brakes, a performance trip computer and sport seats.

Type: Mini Van

Drive: Front and optional All Wheel Drive

With its introduction in the 1980's, the Dodge Caravan invented an entirely new vehicle segment, the minivan. Easy-to-drive and offering an especially useful amount of room, the Caravan quickly became a best-seller and enjoyed a number of sales years before other car manufacturers caught on and offered mini-vans of their own.

While the mini-van segment now has many choices, the Dodge Caravan has stayed a step ahead of the herd. It was first mini-van with then the first with two sliding doors on either side of the vehicle, as well as integration of safety features like airbags. For many buyers the Doge Caravan is highly rated as being one of the most versatile and pleasant-driving minivans on the market.

The legendary Dodge Charger was re-incarnated in 2006 as a Mercedes platformed large-sized sedan. Available with the optional HEMI V-8 motor and Mercedes tuned suspension, the newer Dodge Charger holds it's own in the competitive sports sedan segment and as such, is considered an excellent value. Of the "new muscle cars" such as the Ford Mustang, and Chevrolet Camaro, it is the only one (besides its Dodge built cousin, the Dodge Magnum) that offers an all-wheel drive option. Several of the iconic factory-approved performance packages such as the "Super Bee" have made re-appearances on the new Charger as well.

Type: Mid-Sized Pickup Truck

Drive: Rear and optional 4 Wheel Drive

After some mildly successful joint ventures with Mitsubishi to offer a small truck, Dodge went in a new direction and created the mid-sized Dodge Dakota in the late 1980's, and it was the first of its kind. The Dakota then enjoyed strong sales as for many years it was the only mid-sized pickup truck. The Dakota finally got some competition during the last decade as other truck-makers like Toyota (Tacoma), Nissan (Frontier), and Chevrolet (Colorado) all up-sized their small trucks into the Dakota's class.

Dodge responded smartly by offering the only V8 in the class with the Dakota, and expanding its Dakota line to include more configurations such as the Crew Cab shown above, which seats 4 adults comfortably. Nimble, rugged, and powerful is the winning combination that made Dakota the leader, and the other small trucks, the followers.

Type: Mid-Sized SUV

The Dodge Durango is classified as a midsize SUV, but it is a bit larger with more interior room and towing capability than a typical midsize SUV. The advantage that appeals to most buyers is that Durango retains the nimble handling attributes of a mid-sized SUV.

Many Durangos get the re-incarnated legendary HEMI V-8 motor which is the source of the extra power that the Durango offers.
