Fun in the Sun!

With the temperature starting to rise what better thing to do than load the kids up in the car truck or SUV and take them hiking at Four Pass Loop. Starting off with the best and biggest hike Four Pass Loop in Maroon Bells Wilderness will be an adventure that will never float far from your memories. As the name implies, you will climb over four mountain passes during this four-day hike. While also encountering alpine lakes, huge wildflower fields, and very mesmerizing waterfalls. With over 8,000 feet in elevation, this hike is sure to be one for the record book. Make sure you load all the kids in the car and get the camera cause this is a hike defiantly worth the scrapbooks.        If hiking isn't your forte why not get in the Jeep and go for a quick crawl around Lizard Head Pass, a trail near Telluride about 10,000 feet in southwest Colorado, this pass offers fun Jeep trails with breath-taking views of the San Juan mountains in the Uncompahgre National Forest. This is sure to be a fun filled day of driving. Make sure you bring plenty of gas cause once you see the trails you may never want to turn around, and be sure to look for the rich Colorado wildlife on these trails. And don't worry if your currently lacking in the Jeep department, come on down and see us to pick up this one that is trail ready.
Colorado is very rich in outdoor activities make sure you try all that it has to offer here. With the most sunny day's per year there is surely no excuse for not going and seeing everything. Be sure to share all that Colorado has to offer with your friends and family from the rich history in Old Colorado City to the roller coaster fun in Denver. McCloskey Motors Recognized for Relief Effort

The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department recently recognized McCloskey Motors for their ongoing fundraising for the Waldo Canyon relief effort. In total, McCloskey's has raised over $25,000 in cash and donations for local organizations including the The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department.

McCloskey's Raises Over $25000 Waldo Canyon Relief

To date, with their Donation Station and other fundraising efforts, McCloskey Family of Dealerships has raised over $25,000 cash for local relief organizations in support of the Waldo Canyon Relief Effort. The tragedy that consumed over 350 homes in the Colorado Springs Pikes Peak Region this past summer personally affected Owners Joe & Ann McCloskey as they had to evacuate their own home and saw many of their neighbors lose their homes altogether.

Joe McCloskey says, "we take care of our own" and has made sure that the donations stay here in the community to be used for the community.  The organizations receiving donations include the Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Red Cross, The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services, and Care & Share Food Bank.

To our Friends & Relatives,

The Colorado Springs Area has been tremendously affected by the recent Waldo Canyon Firestorm. Thousands of people have been evacuated and hundreds of people will be in shelters for a long period of time. Hundreds of homes have been incinerated and thousands of homes are damaged.

As you may know, Ann, Julie, & myself have been evacuated for several days and do not know the status of our home and it may be several weeks or months until we are able to be back in our own beds. We are all fine and are anxious to return to our home or what is left of it. There are so many people less fortunate than us, some have lost a loved one and some are still missing or unaccounted for. Our close friends' homes have been incinerated along with all those affected by this tragedy.

With the outpouring of local support, this is still sure to be a long term relief effort. I have received numerous calls from relatives, friends, and people with whom we do business asking what they can do to help. Together with our management team, Ann and myself decided the best way to gather as many donations as possible for the relief effort, is to facilitate a donation event, here at at our business at

6710 North Academy Blvd.
on July 5, 2012
3 p.m. - 7 p

This event will be broadcast LIVE on up to 8 radio stations at one time and will be going on from 3 pm until 7 pm that evening.  While there are a bunch of people bringing items, food and household goods to donate - what these efforts really need is money for the things these organizations that don't get donated. Therefore - CASH IS KING.

We are investigating each resource to make sure their donation stays here in Colorado Springs, to be used for this tragedy, and that they are credible resources. We ask that you join us in donating what you can to this effort. This is our town, our city and we take care of our own.

We have invited these local organizations to attend the event:

Any amount you can donate will make a significant difference in the effort.  No amount is too small (or too large).

If you can't attend the event but would like to send a cash donation, please make your tax deductible donation payable to one of the above organizations referencing the "Waldo Canyon Relief Effort" and mail it to
